Choosing the Right Carpet

Besides the actual fiber the carpet is made from, there are other things to consider in selecting carpet that is appropriate for your home. Before selecting a particular style of carpet, you may want to ask yourself a few questions about your previous experience with carpet purchases.

Things to keep in mind when selecting a carpet include, the length of time you will remain in your current home, amount of traffic the room(s) receive, age of any children in the home, and pets.

Traffic lanes and the ability to hide or repel soil marks are the two largest concerns our customers express. We suggest selecting a carpet that has more texture, is a medium to dark shade, or contains a multi-colored or patterned design. Dark textured carpet tends be less prone to traffic marks and disguise soil marks or small stains.

The best advice to keep in mind is that there is no "one carpet fits all." You should choose a carpet that can hold up to your lifestyle.
