As broad and varied as the products are for resilient flooring, so are the warranties associated with them. Most hard surface flooring in this category has anywhere from a five, to twenty five year warranty.

Many warranties cover manufacturer’s defects in the material, as well as the labor, if installed by a qualified technician. Warranty issues are usually handled by the local suppliers. An independent inspector is usually sent by the manufacturer to determine how or why the flooring problem has occurred, as well as recommending a resolution to the problem.

Troubleshooting
Trouble can often begin before a floor is ever installed. One of the leading causes of resilient flooring failure is moisture and or humidity issues in the home. It does not matter how old or how new your home is, all sub-floors should be tested for moisture content before the selection process is finalized. Particular attention should be paid to basements or areas with a low water table.

Our knowledgeable sales people, upon their visit to your home, can easily test your existing floor for moisture problems. The test is simple and is conducted with a hand held moisture meter to quickly determine if additional sealants or other products are required to install the floor of your dreams or whether an alternate selection would be a better option.
